Gravestone Transcriptions

Notes relating to the older burials in the graveyard will be added and there is a section for information relating to burials where there appear to be no headstone. Extracts from local newspapers have been with the consent of the Belfast News Letter, Ulster Star, Belfast Telegraph and Irish News.

Apologies for any errors or omissions in the following text. Please do contact The Digger if you are aware of any and I will amend them accordingly. The headstones and memorials have been given numbers for ease of reference.

*	Cardy. In loving memory of a dear husband and father Cyril William called home 4th August 1999 aged 79 years. In his presence is fullness of joy.
*	Jennifer Cardy, beloved daughter of Andrew and Patricia born 16th May 1972 died 12th August 1981 aged 9 years. Safe in the arms of Jesus.

This stone is erected as a small tribute of affection by his son James O’Doran, also Susanna relict of the above, aged 81 years, Obit 2nd Feby 1837; also James O’Doran, son of the above, late Captain in the 59th Regt. *	Here lyeth the body of Charles O’Neal who departed this life the 15 of April 1767 aged 67 years
*	Rea. In loving memory of John died 7th May 1972. His loving wife Elizabeth died 21st March 1987 and their daughter Mabel died 8th April 1929 aged 2 years. Also their son John Wesley died 8th January 1992 and his devoted wife Florence Alma died 4th January 2007. The Eternal God is thy refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms.

*	In loving memory of Hugh Totten died 20th March 1937 his wife Susan died 22nd August 1937, their daughter Ethel Jane died 6th May 2001, their daughter in law Anna Miram died 23rd December, 2004. A dearly loved wife, mother and grandmother. Forever with the Lord.
*	1911. In affectionate remembrance of Jane the beloved wife of William R. Yarr who departed this life 18th December, 1910 aged 46 years. The above William R. Yarr died 5th September 1924 aged 63 years. Margaret Yarr his beloved mother died 1st Sept 1884 aged 52 years. Thomas Yarr, his beloved father died 2nd Jan 1879 aged 52 years. His brother John Yarr died 1867 aged 4 years.
