Death Notice — Mrs Cunningham
The following is an extract from the Belfast Newsletter dated 15th May 1810 and is reproduced here by permission of the Belfast News Letter
Death
On the 3d inst. Aged 68 years, Mrs Cunningham, wife to Samuel Cunningham of Crookedstone. In her were united the tender mother, affectionate wife, sincere friend, and poor’s benefactress.

Corn mills.
The corn mill in the townland of Crookedstone, the property of George Moore, is propelled by a breast water wheel 14 feet in diameter by 3 feet broad, having a fall of water of 14 feet. The supply of water in summer is very uncertain. This mill is in bad repair.
The corn mill, the property of John Rea, in the same townland is propelled by a breast water wheel 18 feet in diameter by 4 feet broad, having a fall of 14 feet.
Crooked Stone.
The Crooked Stone from which the townland of Crookedstone takes its name is long since placed in the bridge which divides the townland from Killeally.
Longevity
John Montgomery of Crookedstone died at the age of 105.
Marriage Notice — Rea / Johnson
The following is an extract from the Belfast Newsletter dated 20th April 1841 and appears with permission of the Belfast Newsletter.
On the 17th ult, at her father’s house, by the Rev. James Carley, Antrim, Mr. Wm. Rea, of Crookedstone, carpenter, to Letitia Johnson, youngest daughter of Mr. Thos. Johnson, Oldstone.
Death Notice — Mr Thomas Morrison
Extract from The Lisburn Herald — 20th April 1935
The death is announced of Mr. Thomas Morrison, at Seattle, U.S.A., 4th son of the late Mr. William Morrison of Crookedstone, Killead. During the war he served in the Canadian Forces in France. The wife of Dr. Hunter, Crumlin is a sister of the deceased.
